Light Private Jet Comparison

There are a ton of reasons you should be flying via a private charter versus a commercial flight. They are more comfortable, safer, and not as expensive as you might think. However, one of the challenges in getting a charter flight is knowing what size to get. There are many different sizes when it comes to private jets, and you want to get the one that works best for you and your situation. For most people, you are probably going to want to go with a light private jet. Below we will go over some of the advantages of this type of plane, and compare it the other sizes out there.

First, we should mention all of the different sizes of jets. There are Super Light, Light, Mid-Sized, Super, and Heavy. The smallest is the Super Light, and they get progressively bigger as you move up the list. The size you need will depend mainly on two things – how many people are going to be traveling, and how far you plan on going. You want to make sure your plane is big enough to seat everyone, and you want it to be large enough to reach your destination. However, the bigger your plane, the more expensive it is, so you want to get something that is just right.

We said that for most people, you will probably want light private jets, and here’s why. A light jet is capable of holding a small group of people comfortably. They are generally used for short to medium duration flights, perfect for when you are just flying around the country. If this is all you intend on using your chartered jets for, then they are the most cost effective. Here are a few specifics on light jets: Their cabin height is typically around 4’6”, and a width of about 4’9”. This may seem a bit cramped, but remember you’ll be sitting, and they are actually fairly spacious on the inside. They can typically fly between 2 to 5 hours, and seat about 8 people. And, just like with any other private jet, they come stocked with all the amenities – entertainment, food, comfortable seating, etc.

When trying to figure out if a light private jet is the right choice for you, consider these questions – Where is my final destination? How many people am I bringing? Is there a lot of luggage? How many days will I be gone? And finally, what’s my budget? Think about these things each time you are looking to book a private charter so that you can be sure you get the right plane. You don’t want to show up at the airport and realize you don’t have enough seats for everyone, or that the plane can’t reach your destination.

There’s a lot to know about the different private jet sizes, more than we could cover in this one article. Hopefully we were at least able to inform you a little bit more about light private jets so that you can decide if that is the size you want to go with. As we said, this is one of the most common private jet sizes used, and we think that it will work for a lot of people. If it doesn’t work for you, then all you have to do is scale up or down depending on your needs. Good luck, and happy flying!
