Varying skins, skills, health and movement ability, there are currently 9 classes for Team Fortress 2. Like CSS game servers, Team Fortress 2 has a big community of mod and map developers out there working hard to make the game better for everyone. As popular as ever, Team Fortress 2 game servers have been around now for 2 years.

All Team Fortress 2 servers are split into 9 different classes, which have 3 sub classes for support, defence and offence. Though you don’t have to play these exact roles, they are set to give the best balance.

On Team Fortress 2 servers without an effective defence, you will lose. Having a good back line is needed to stop the scout from sneaking through your defence.

Without a proper gun you have to be skilled at this class to know how to play indirectly unless you like using the bottle to melee with. Using the games engine and physics to his advantage, he can take out enemies very effectively. The grenade launcher itself is a very powerful weapon and can take out classes with small health pools in just one or two grenades (scouts, medics and spies). You can also use the grenade launcher to effectively take out sentry guns from behind corners. Another good tactic is using sticky grenades near tight corridors or intelligence or control points. Simply lay a few sticky grenades and watch the kills roll in. If you suck at aiming and like big bangs, try this class!

Next up is the Heavy. You guessed right- this guy is the one that likes to pack a punch. Although he’s the heaviest and slowest of the classes, his health and most powerful gun makes up. In fact, he’ll take out the other classes with ease. The only enemy he struggles against is his opposite number. With a long range, he can battle several enemies at once. However his mini gun does take a while to rev up. But once he hits you, don’t expect to move anywhere fast! Covering while they take out the enemy, heavies work best when they are protected at short range. If you want to make an impression on game servers, pick this guy!

The engineer should normally only need to attack players when he comes under fire himself. He should choose to deploy and maintain helpful buildings to gain his team an advantage. The engineer is best known for his sentry gun which he can repair and upgrade with his wrench. However, you need to gather metal either from downed players, ammo crates and also their own dispensers. The dispensers will also resupply nearby units as well. Teleports are also placed to allow players to move from one part of the map to the other. A hidden spot near the enemy base is always a good position. They aren’t so tough unfortunately when it comes to a straight fight. However they can be effective at medium range with their turrets and tend to sit in cover. If you like turrets and building, the engineer is for you.
