Personal Conclusion on Tire Rack

I’ve used Tire Rack for the last 10 years and have bought new tires from them on average every 18 months.  During that time I’ve only ever had one slight complaint and that was on delivery time when ordering direct to my home address.  The tires were a couple of days late so I made a quick call to their support and sales numbers and was given a discount on my next purchase which more than made up for the inconvenience – since then delivery has always been spot on and I’ve never had any need to chase them up on an order since.

Overall I would give them a solid eight out of ten as a rating.  If there was some small room for improvement then it would be on the design of their consumer-facing website.  It could be a little bit better and has not really been refreshed in a few years.  From an operational point of view, it can sometimes be a bit cumbersome to get through to the shopping cart – but in the main this is down to the large amount of pre-qualifying questions that the Tire Rack website asks you before you can confirm your purchase.  Most of this is down to safety questions, as the purchase of new car tires needs to be water-tight in terms of ensuring that the drivers fits the correct brand, spec, and model for their vehicle so I can understand that.  It’s just that as an experienced tire fitter, I would prefer to be able to speed through the process a little bit quicker.
