Italian food is great all year round but in summer it can be a particularly good choice to enjoy with your friends and family, with many dishes being relatively simple to prepare. This particular app offers a selection of recipes from Nigella Lawson’s book Nigellissima and offers a number of features including integration with the TV star’s social networking feeds, so you can be sure to stay up to date with her latest news.

Sometimes you just want to be able to rustle up something to eat in a hurry. However, that doesn’t mean your meal needs to be bland, as Jamie Oliver has produced a tasty selection of meals that can be prepared in around 20 minutes. This application offers 60 recipes, each with step-by-step instructions and a handy shopping list that sorts ingredients by the aisle you’ll find them in. Jamie has also produced a selection of videos offering various tips and techniques.
