a. Write articles on your topic providing valuable information to people who are looking for it.
b. Offer them more information in exchange for the privilege to stay in contact with them.
c. Build a relationship by helping them make progress towards a goal.
3. Create a Manual
a. Outline every step your typical client would have to take to get from where they are, to where they want to be.
b. Begin the process of filling in each chapter (for your own use) until you have a significant portion of it completed.
c. Update your manual when necessary.
4. Use the Manual as the template for your business.
a. Break sections into tiny parts and write marketing articles from it
b. Take one section from near the beginning of the process and create your first entry-level information product from it.
c. Use it to provide the content for your membership website.
5. Survey the people on your lead list.
a. Discover their biggest challenges.
b. Find out what their goals and expectations are.
6. Offer the entry-level information product to the people on your list.
a. Experiment with different price points.
b. Collect feedback from your new clients.
c. Modify your product as appropriate.
Continue to promote your entry-level product and build your lead list as you complete your manual.
7. Take content from manual and plug it into your membership website.
a. Depending on your time/money ratio you can choose to purchase a membership website template, use WordPress or outsource the project.
b. Make sure to include forums for your members to interact with you and each other.
c. Create a schedule for updates, what they are and when they should be expected.
d. Include several different teaching methods and mediums, including audio and video.
e. Offer a free or heavily discounted trial to the people on your list.
f. Collect feedback on the membership website and make modifications.
g. Implement a very strong incentive program for referrals.
h. Sit back and watch your bank account grow.
